Hot on the heels of Aldi's dual-core Pentium D desktop pc last week, Lidl have a fairly high spec laptop for €1500 next week:

AMD Turion64 processor, 1.8GHz - they don't mention this on their site but it can be found easily enough by a bit of googling.

It also has gigabit lan, dvb-t tv tuner, wireless 802.11g, 8 in 1 card reader and a few other bells 'n whistles.

It's a little surprising a 17" laptop is described as a "traveller". I'd wouldn't be doing much travelling lugging that thing around.
