Thanks everyone for all the praise of the Maynooth Intervarsity. We were all very happy with the way it went, I personally was quite drunk that night as toxof, sonic and possibly Aryzel(?) will tell you!!!!!

Anyway, there was talk of a league being ran by DIT over the period until the next IV. Just wondering is it going ahead? When should we all start sending in scores? etc...

Yeah, just send them to Keith Colton.
Either PM them to Spud(Mr Potato Head) or email to
    keith_colton @ hotmail

the first set of scores will be due on/before the sat 10th of dec... (so the scores are shot sometime during the week prior)
The scores are based on 30 arrows @ 18m, one set of scores per week over 8 weeks, placing based on sum of top four scores over the eight weeks...

the classes are shown in the word doc attached, as are the rest of the rules.

There is also a submission form (excel sheet, tough if you dont like ms) if people from clubs could group together to send the scores on one sheet it would help rather than me getting tonnes of one person submissions! :D

any more questions please let me know!!!
You can send stuff to me on keith_colton AT hotmail.com

Just to remind everyone, we'll be looking for the first set of 30 arrow scores this week for anyone interested in participating in the postal league.

since dit have had no training for the last three weeks how are we supposed to shoot scores that count?

seems a bit of a disadvantage and it hasnt even started yet!!!

I was waiting for someone to say that. Its pretty annoying with the hall I have to admit.

All I can say is that only your four best scores count and since you can submit one a week over an eight week period, there are plenty more opportunities to get some scores in.

We've been promised the hall as long as the college is open, so we'll get the 15th and pobably the 22nd. Yous are back on the 9th of January so we have three weeks after that. Thats at least five chances to shoot 30 arrows.

Can you use scores you get training in your garden at 18m?

Sure. As long as you score 30 consecutive arrows at something approaching 18m, thats fine.
The idea is to keep some of the competitive momentum up over the Christmas period and hopefully improve people's scores as a result.

Sorted. I'll nick a 40cm target face from the club and give it a try ................
