Hey I need a computer for college, a laptop would be great since I dont have much space. I will need it for word documents excell documents etc, Adobe photosshop (I have that cd) and I would love it to have a cd burner and if it could play dvd's. Decent memory (maybe 40 gigs), good RAM, and internet capable would be great.

Now here is the catch, I want to spend as little as possible! Like I was hoping to spend under a grand, closer to €500, can anyone recomend one to me?

Do you want to buy in Ireland or are you willing to have one sent from UK (where the choice tends to be larger) ?

I suppose I would be open to it. I would rather Ireland, but if its two different computers for the same money...

    Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A 7640 - AMD Athlon 3200+, 512Mb, 40Gb, DVDRW(Dual Layer), Wifi, 15in TFT(Not widescreen)XPH, MS Works Suite - €1010
    Acer Travelmate 2413WLMi Intel Celeron M 370 (1.5GHz, 400Mhz FSB, 1Mb L2 Cache), Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional Edition, 512MB DDR2 400 (1x512MB) RAM, 60GB Hard Disk Drive, DVD-Dual double layer optical drive, 15in XGA TFT Display, 64MB Shared VRAM graphics, 4 cell battery, Wired & 802.11g Wireless LAN €995

    Acer TravelMate 2413LCi/CelM 1500 40GB 512MB €905

You want a minimum of 512mb ram tbh - if you really want a cheap laptop, buy the cheapest one available and then buy 1gb of ram and fit it yourself :)
