when being moved from one table to another in a tournament what's the proper protocol

    What position moves ?
Into what position do you move ?

I've played in a few pub tournaments and this always seems to cause confusion

When moving a player from a table, you simply chose the next big blind.
When seating player at another table chose seat furthest away from the button.
This gives the re-located played the advantage of a few free hands in the majority (sometimes a player moves from 1 table on the big blind to another big blind position). Overall the moving player is at a disadvantage coming to a new table not knowing the plays that have happened.
The only position a moving player cannot come in to on a new table is the small blind position.

What does this mean, I thought if you were moved into the SB, you couldn't play until the Button passes??

Although I don't play live much, I thought this was the only position along with the button you couldn't move into????:confused:

EDIT: Just thinking and I presume this was just a typo??

The only position a moving player canNOT come to a new table in is the small blind position.
A player can be seated in the button position, as long as the posting of the blinds is not affected.
