I need some help on something as I have no knowledge of the subject.
Christmas is coming and the shopping is left late.

I have a mate who's heading off to Malaysia in Feb for 6 months and would like to get her something relevant for her trip. Something useful. Maybe something to help her contact loved ones back home (not cash, something thoughtful). I know absolutely nothing about travelling abroad etc., so I have no idea what to get. Can anyone help here?

Of course it has to be obtainable by the 23rd-ish.

    Cheers ma deers!

Semi-practical (The way you think, man): digital camera, a subscription to or provision of photo hosting (Flickr.com,etc.)..
Less practical (The way she probably thinks,as a feeeemaalle),and for a more personal touch: photo frame (+and take the added step of providing a nice photograph)..

All of the above is reasonable as one. Personal, practical, and most of it isn't too expensive.

*sings to self* Hey big spender...

:) Aye. I suppose all of it would be reasonable (I had in my head the idea of a rather expensive camera..), but yeah..hmmm

Well, even with a rather expensive camera, an extra €20 for a small picture frame isn't going to break the bank :p
