    Heya guys,
If you were to go on holiday somewhere which incoporated a trip to the races, where and when would you go? You would time your trip there to coincide with a big race meet etc...
Maybe somewhere exotic like Nad al Sheba in UAE or Happy Valley in Hong Kong?
    Or somewhere closer to home?

Navan. You can't beat a holiday in good ol' Meath. And I'd go in January or February to get the best of the weather.

Failing that, Paris for Arc day, Czech Republic for the Pardubicka, Melbourne for the Melbourne Cup and then Dubai if I've any change left.

Of course, these all fall behind Cheltenham for quality of racing and atmosphere.

I would also say cheltenham, however incorperared in a holiday id go with Melbourne Cup or Breeders Cup.

Friends of mine have given up on Cheltenham (too crowded) and go to Aintree for the Grand national, they say much better!

    Thanks Pythia.

Hi Filly, ordinarily I don't think there would be a problem with someone putting forward a recommendation like the one you have above...however, you've just joined and on the face of it it looks like you've done so to promote this Irish Race Goers club...that may, or may not be the case but this is not my website so in my small role as moderator of this particular room I have to restrict the apparent free advertising.

You are of course free to post here as much as you want, and join in the many conversations and debates, but I'm sure you'll agree that no company or organisation has earned the right to advertise on these boards unless given prior consent by the owners.

    Thanks, and happy future posting,

    D

But the standard of racing is without a doubt the best N.H. racing anywhere in the world.I've been to the last 6 years and have not had a problem with the crowds ,indeed football matches are worse.
