    Hello everyone!
    My friend and his nonprofit NYCOLLETIVE FOR THE ARTS, are starting an online Literary magazine, debuting this Winter 2006. Just wanted to pass along submission information to you all in case your interested. These guys rock, do things really well, and have produced some wonderful projects over the last year.

    CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS - COLLECTANEA WINTER 2006

    OVERVIEW
    COLLECTANEA is an online literary magazine, published by New York Collective for the Arts, dedicated to creating a forum where both emerging and veteran writers can share their work. Our aim is to be literary, but unpretentious; talented, but modest; unique, but familiar. Each issue includes works of fiction, works of nonfiction, a featured author interview focused on the craft of writing, and—in keeping with the vision of NYCOLLECTIVE—some inspired cross-pollination of artistic mediums. Coinciding with each publication, we will hold a reading featuring selected writers and works. Published tri-annually following the seasons (Winter, Spring/Summer, and Fall), COLLECTANEA debuts online in early Winter 2006 with subsequent issues and events to follow.

    SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
    We are looking for original works of fiction and nonfiction no longer than 8,000 words. Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but please be considerate and alert us if your work has been accepted elsewhere. Please do not submit more than one piece at a time for consideration. All work must be previously unpublished. Submissions must be *in hand* by January 15th, 2006. Late entries will not be considered for the WINTER 06 ISSUE and must be re-sent when we open our SPRING/SUMMER reading period on February 15th.     NEW YORK COLLECTIVE FOR THE ARTS is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to create programs in the arts that provide opportunities for the development of talent and promotion of artistic culture in New York. Our members are diverse individuals who have the common goal of providing artists a platform for their work through events and collaborations with NYCOLLECTIVE.
