Yea heard it on the radio this morning. Im not sure if ill go or not the last time was great but too short but im sure now he has more songs under his belt he will make it a bit longer. Also I think its like 55 for a ticket

I'd love to go, but if his show is short (and crap) I'll be beaten to death by my non rap loving friends on the bus on the way home, it's a long drive to Waterford... I think I'll spend my €55 elsewhere...

He can't rap though which is a problem.

Orchestra sounds interesting but way too much cash.

You know a lot of people that hate rap but love Kanye's rap skills? You don't see anything wrong with that?I respect him as a producer, even if his style more then resembles the likes of DJ Premier.

He is a mediocre rapper at best.

Get a standing ticket, means you can get closer to the stage and well sitting at concerts is crap.
They have two catagories of tickets for the ground floor, one at €54.50 and the other at €59.50 I dunno what the difference is between the two. You should probably contact the point to find out what that difference is.

i know its ****ed up but sure u wil have i even know a punk rocker that likes him and he likes noting but punk rock and kanye and best seat in the house is the pitt i was in it fdor the last one the only prob is the point is full of 16 year olds

He is a mediocre rapper though.

His production is amazing, but some of his lyrics and rhyming schemes are poor. He has some moments in certain songs that remind me of the "Nelly Furtado" line in Pharell's first solo single, really cringe worthy stuff.

(that Pharell line was the first example that came into my head, god I hate that line)

Ya I was in the front in middle of stage in 50's concert and it was unreal. Its well worth queueing for but I got soaked from all the water at 50's concert.I got ground floor standing I'd say they are at pit

    Same as.

Who will be supporting Kanye West

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 169 ✭✭hiphopfanno1

I dunno imagine if Common,John Legend and Twista were all there!!Okay it would never happen but... Okay I just read that Common dropped off the American tour before it started so I doubt he'll be coming.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 118 ✭✭Aimee_gleeson

I went to the concert last year was good and all but i mean for the money was it worth the "whole" 20mins! The supporting acts were absolute rubbish  especially them dublin rappers getting booed off the stage. Total waste where Kanye could have been on. I hope for yer sake the supporting acts are better this year cause i know i wont be paying for a ticket this time round!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3 pk100

Hey, Common wont be there. he's staring in a film in the states at the moment, probably be the same irish mcs that opened for him last year. If he plays the after party in vicar street again, go to that! Was at it last year, unbelievable, he played a full hour

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 345 ✭✭Klimseven

no he didn't...that gig was crap, he played about 5 songs, f uckin total waste of money...a-trak was the only positive thing...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,450 ✭✭✭evil_seed

I can't wait for this gig. I'm expecting John Legend & Lupe Faiasco to be there also. Possibly Malik Youssef also. Imagine if jay z comes out on stage. Doubt it'll happen, but i can keep wishing.

If Jay-z goes (but he wont only in our dreams...) I don't know what I'd do, it would be unreal. He did a surprise performance in America with Kanye in a Pepsi concert I think.

I hope Alicia Keys is his supporting act.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 169 ✭✭hiphopfanno1

Yes that would be brilliant! Infact if Jay-z, John Legend, Alicia Keys and Jamie Foxx oh and Twista were all there it would be unreal but that would never happen.

i doubt it, she could play the point on her own.

none of the above mentioned will be there with him. he'll be on his own with his dj and hypeman, thats it. the supporting act will most probably be local, maybe rob kelly and nu-cents or urban intelligence again.
