where to get new high quality pots to suit jazz style bass at reasonable price?

any suggestions as to make/model i should go for?

www.guitarelectronics.com do some sets. Price is pretty fair. I'm assuming you don't want to venture into €10 per pot territory.

price aint really an issue when we're talking about this kind of money. how much can good quality pots improve my musical experience?

I replaced the pots on a Korean guitar recently with a pair from www.stewmac.com

There was definitely a noticeable increase in volume with the new pots. Big improvement.

Well, that's just a regular pot that's severely overpriced because it's a dual pot and it's Fender brand. I think a CTS would sound the same but cost you less.

You can get high spec pots that cost a lot more, PECs and Clarostats etc. I haven't tried any of them so I can't comment. What I've read would lead me to believe it's largely subjective. Unless you're buying to experiment, I'd stick with the regular CTS pots.
