Interview Records

When you are interviewed by somebody for a job , is the company or interview board obligied by law to keep a record of the interview - ie- notes, people present , maybe questions asked.

Surely they need this information later if somebody makes a claim for discrimination?-but are they actually required to keep it.

If a company does keep information of an interview , and I find out that they have it , are obligied to release it - ie under data protection act or freedom of information act.

Is there a time limit after the interview , that one must request the information from the interview board.

    Yes.

Yes, anyone can request a copy of their interview notes and these must be provided.

Not sure, also I'm not sure how long the company must keep the records on file for (something tells me it's three years, but don't quote me on this).

Do you know under what law they are actually required to keep the records or is it just for the companies own interest - ie in case a claim is taken against them.

Is it possible for these to be released to the interviewee in all cases ?

I don't think they have to keep them but if they do they have to be available. See this case to the FOI commissioner:
