I have a problem with my laptop screen,it will continually flicker, freeze and then sometimes the screen will turn white.Im just looking for a quick diagnosis ,im guessing it's something to do with the graphics card or some connection as the screen will usually freeze when you move the laptop but i don't know. There doesn't seem to be any other problems with the laptop it still runs perfectly apart from the above. Thanks

    Could the laptop be overheating?

Or maybe there is a bad connection from the motherboard
of the laptop to the lcd?

What is the make and model of the laptop, maybe it has happened
    before to someone else?

do you have this problem no matter what degree
the laptop screen is open at?

ie if it is half open at 45 degrees does it flicker?

and so on up to 150degrees or the most it will open?

It also could be due to

    1. Loose cable connection.
    2. Bad transformer,
    3. Bad Bulb,
    4. Bad LCD

    can you contact gateway?

The flickering sometimes stops if you move the screen around but once it freezes i have to reboot.
Well i didn't buy it from gateway,im sure any computer repair shop could probably fix it but id just like to know if there was anything i could do or just to know whats wrong so they don't screw me

I would say its the connection between the screen and Base, this shouldnt be too hard 2 fix,

Depending on make get the screen out. It is a "scart" like mini-plug, push it in, DONE
