    Hi all,
Its my girlfriends 21st in a few weeks and Im planning on bringing her away as a present. Have pretty much decided Krakow is where I wanna go with her and would really appreciate advice about where people have stayed before and where's nice.

    Any help is much appreciated.

BTW - found a place called Old Town Apartments which seems nice, anyone stayed in any of these?

Was in both Warsaw and Krakow at the start of this month. We stayed in a hotel called the Alexander hotel in Krakow . The location was very good - less than 5 mins walk to the old town square. The hotel itself is relatively modern I'd say, basic enough but clean, friendly staff etc.

Make sure whatever accommodation you book is near the Old Town Square as this is more or less where everything is centered in Krakow.

We booked our accommodation for both cities on www.hotelspoland.com and found them very good and got some good deals with them. The Radisson also had an excellent location but not sure if that was pricey.

If you haven't booked the flights yet make sure you check out www.skyeurope.com which was who we fly home with - they were far cheaper than Aer Lingus for us anyway.

Hiya, I'm going to Krakow in May and found the following site which I thought you might find helpful: www.grodzka.net.pl/

Was in Krakow two years ago (almost) for new years eve, great fun in the central square. Be sure to check out the castle too. Cheap enough and friendly people.

You've made the right decision with Krakow. My wife is polish and so we have travelled all over Poland. Krakow is my second favourite Polish city. My most faviourite is Gdansk, we spent 10 days there during this summer and we loved it.

I can't really recommend any specific accommodation because we would normally stay with friends but here some ideas on things to see.

In the centre of the main square (rynek) there is an indoor market, worth a visit to look at all the stalls. At this time of year there will be a great atmosphere, make sure you get some warm beer or mulled wine to warm you up on those cold afternoons.

    Enjoy the trip!

There was a big piece about in Saturday's Daily Mirror. Worth trying to hunt a copy down. Looked a really good place.
