This just in to me from sky...nothing new except they're giving me the next two months at 50% off....better than nothing !

    Dear Andi

    Customer Account Number: xxxxxxxxxxxx

Thank you for your email concerning the problems you are experiencing with the live pause feature on Sky+.
Firstly, please accept my apology for any inconvenience this has caused and we are aware of the issue and are currently working on a resolution. At the moment we do not have a specific time when a resolution will be found but the procedure below should resolve the live pause problem temporarily.

    Switch your Digibox to standby.
Unplug the Digibox from the mains then immediately plug it back in.
The on/off light will be constant RED however, it may flash on/off on some models.
Leave the Digibox on standby for at least one minute without touching any buttons.
After one minute, take the Digibox off standby and follow on screen displays.
If after following this procedure the problem remains, it may be that you require an engineer to check the system. If you are outwith your 12 month warranty, this call will be chargeable. Please contact us on 08702 435 000 if a service call is required.

Due to your inconvenience, I have arranged for you to receive your next 2 months subscription of the entertainment package with movie mix half price.

I trust this meets with your approval. Should you require any further assistance do not hesitate to contact me at the above email address. Alternatively, you can contact our customer services team on 08702 40 40 40, where one of our advisors will be happy to assist with your enquiry.

    Yours sincerely

    Alexis Doherty

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this terribly dangerous to electircal equipment as it could blow the PSU?

Anyway, they told you to do it so if anything went wrong you could get a new [refurbed] one back from them, I'm sure.

I thought that was a bit dodgy too, but as you say...its in writing !. If the issue isn't fixed in the next couple of months, I'll hassle them for another 50% deal...after all, I'm paying for a service that I'm not reliably receiving !.

Anyone know the format of Sky's internal mail addresses ??....if I could figure out how to mail Alexis Doherty directly, I could become much more of a nuisance

I've tried most combinations, but all bounced so far.......

mines altogether last night during bad boys 2, so i done everything to sort it out, left it plugged out since 1 today, and have done a forced download, hopefully it will resolve it slightly.

I've had live pause problems for a couple of months now. It doesn't seem to be as serious as most other people on this forum.

When i press pause, about 80% of the time it freezes after a few seconds, and rewind, forward, play don't work. But pressing the "SKY" button, i get a prompt " do you want to exit live pause, press "Select" to exit or "Back-up" to cancel" or something like that.

Is this the same as everyone else is getitng???

    Yup, sounds about average.

Not that I'm complaining, but true to their word, sky have reduced my monthly fee following my email......

Instead of the usual €54/month, they've charged me €11.32 !!!, not sure if that's 3 months rebate together, or just a mess up by sky.....
