The winner gets a recording contract and is spared the indignity of going to the Eurovision.

She is truly painful to watch on TV. The way she talks makes me want to thump the television. Talk with a straight mouth woman ffs.

    Ah leave poor sile alone.

You will want her back when Derek Mooney takes over for the live shows in the new year.

People are complaining about Sile! What about the judges? They're just carbon copies of the X-factor judges, it's pathetic!

Had to googleimage Kate Thornton and my verdict is 'You're mad'.

Should have clarified personality, presentation style etc. Looks wise yes Ms Seoige would have an edge but her presentation is stiled and serious, lets face it its not The Krypton Factor!!

Did anyone hear the news? You're A Star was going over budget after the first few shows so they've had to get a new judge in to keep an eye on the production costs

If I had to pick between sideways talker Síle or sideways head-tilting Kate Thorton, at least Síle's head is upright when she speaks to camera. :p

Kate drives me insane with her constant head-tilting everytime she speaks. The camera pans into Kate @ the beginning of The X Factor - her head is tilted to one side, almost resting on her shoulder. She brings it upright, then tilts, then upright - tilt.... and so it goes for the rest of the show.

Shes a bird what do you expect??

A polemic on the works of Mozart!!!!

I am waiting for Sile Seoige to turn to the camera and utter the immortal words "Because I'm worth it"

She doesn't need to tilt her head when she's got her robo-brow
