Weird! Tree growing leaves

THIS IS WEIRD I have a weeping willow in my Garden which as normal has shed its leaves. Today I noticed a few leaves budding. They are new fresh leaves. Anyone seen this before?

Yeah , Its healthy and happy but a little strange. I mean they are new fresh leaves on one branch only

My Japanese Maple has also stated to bud ( it only shed a week ago ) - and stranger - iris bulbs that died off in aug are starting to sprout again !
