    nope, he had one and then got pissed off when it lost its memory when the Battery died. He backup eticate is somewhat lacking, so hes looking at a small laptop.

    Ah Nail>Head, I couldnt think of the make that I had seen before, JVC is it alright.
    TabletPC ?

    Any models with an 8-9" screen you would reccomend Capt'n? A touchscreen might be a good option for this

    You could setup a timed backup to an SD card. Laptop could be worse, because the user probably won't handle it with kid gloves and HDD's are less reliable than sd :(

    Can't really recomend any tabletpc since they cost more than laptops,
    Gateway used to make nice subnotebooks

    This is a cool one the only problem is the keyboard can be a bit tight but its grand apart from that ..plus unlike the new sony it has a external dvd-r ..but it not that bad ..the centrino ULV does help alot with battery life ..ive install centenio hardware controller software which helps

    PDA interface just didnt suit him I guess.
