Which works out at 2,346.73 EUR
Is there any ther laptop around at a cheaper price with the same kind of specs ...I did win a bid the other night on EBAY on a DELL XPS GEN 2 which has a 6800 ultra and i won it at 1100 euro from the USA but now he guy doesnt accept paypal so im not to happy sending off that kind of money to someone in the states ...his feeback looks great but on a colser look i see that he has 100 or so feedbacks all 100% but they are all for buying things and not from him selling anything and now he seems to have 6 to 8 of these laptops all new and boxed and also a few 17" apple lifebooks ..it all seems a bit iffy ive emailed him about four times asking if he would take PAYPAL or even ASCROW but he hasnt replied ..if it was all above board i wouldnt mind to much loosing out on the 7800gtx for the 6800 ulta seems ill save half the money .and get 2 gigs of ram and higher res on the 17" tft
..im worried about the tax if the customs gets a hold of the laptop aswell..
here is the specs on the dell

Dell Inspiron XPS Gen 2 Specufications:

I think that is the cheapest you are gonna get Dubdvd.. I would ignore the Dell one to be honest, sounds risky..

I would recommend getting a faster processor if possible. I went from a 2.0GHz to a 2.23GHz Pentium M and there is less slow down when any physics kick in etc... Just a suggestion anyhow..

surely as the resident overclocker you could use ClockGen to OC your 2 ghz processor and coolbits to oc the 6800 (mine was 350/590 and its 405/705 atm)

I agree with kaks on the XPS its not worth it

I got a i9300 for ~ 1100 specs arent as great as yours but with the €1k saved you could easily buy some more ram etc. as well as a lovely gift for your wife ;)

stay away from evesham i had ordered this laptop on the 2nd of dec and and had to ring them on monday gone to ask what was happen with my order when i done this they told me that the credit card i was using was refused .due to me using my name one the order and the credit card holders address ..which was fair eoungh ..so i placed the order again using all the details of the CC holders info and nothing to do with me that was monday they told me it takes up to 72 hours to clear the CC but still nothing happening uptil friday when i rang them that a full week to ring mastercard and ask if the card im using is OK ...so at this stage im told it could be the new year before i see the laptop as it can take 9 days to build it ....what a joke so i caneled the order then today i looked at there website and the dont have the laptop listed anymore ...very strange

anyhow i made a new order on friday for another high end laptop with the 7800 gtx go and within 24 hours the credit card was cleared and it was made and dispatched all within 24 hours so i should have it tomorrow or the next day thanks god :D heres what i went for below it cost me an extra 200 euro which was well worth it for the sake of having it before the xmas plus it has a higher cpu clock speed aswell and it very nice on the eye compared to the evesham one
