Right i somehow, still not quite sure managed to remove all my photos from one of my folders. I then also managed to delete them from recycle bin. Ie i didn't know they were gone until i had done my regular emptying of the rcycle bin.

Is there anyway to get them back?

i am running Xp Pro SP2

First of all don't install any new applications or save any new files, infact don't use the pc at all if you can.

Now if you google you will find an awful lot of programs to retrieve data deleted, some free others with fee's. Ontrack is the best but expensive, heres one I have heard about http://www.pcinspector.de/download.asp?language=1#smart_recovery

    rest2514
you can't restore to the same drive as that would just overwrite what is there, so use a USB key or another partition.

it's also helpful if you specify how the drive on which they were stored was/is formatted (i.e. NTFS,etc.)
Google for a recovery app..Restoration 2.5.14 is free and rocks
