    Hi there,

If you click on this link, you will probably see pictures displayed. Well, I cannot! And I really don't understand why!? I tried with both Firefox and IE6: no luck. Thought it might be Norton Internet Security so I disabled it: no luck.

What could be causing this problem??? It's beyond me... :(

looking at it in firefox, there is only one pic on the top of the page

quick search through the source finds no .jpg/.gif/.png
cant see pics cos there are no pics on the page

edit:// was getting a link to wc3 before but the new link works fine in ff
try clearing your cache, delete temporary internet files and make sure your not blocking images from that site in ff

there are 7 pics on the page. some firewalls can block ads and images. in firefox it could be adblock plus. ???

I used to have Adblock for Firefox but I've uninstalled it... And if I'm having the same problem in IE I'm thinking it HAS to be Norton... Yet when I disable firewall, still no pictures... :(

Nope, it actually opened http://www.unidarerfc.com/tour2005/tour05_001_thumb.jpg which is the small picture.
I can also open http://www.unidarerfc.com/tour2005/tour05_001_full.jpg and see the big picture...

Nope, not that either... I did in fact go on the main page of the webiste: http://www.unidarerfc.com/home.html, right-clicked on one of the jerseys on the top right and clicked on "Block images from unidarerfc.com". Only then did all the pictures disappear. So I did that again ("Unblock images from unidarerfc.com"), I can see the jerseys and all again but still no pictures from The Tour! :(

Sure its not a isp problem?

Esat have gone to balls here in Oran lately and it can take up to a minute for pictures to load for me. Until then, all I get is blank spaces.

Did you disable the norton firewall? Maybe you need to switch off its Ad blocking plugin as well. In IE there should be a button on the address bar caleld Web Assistant. Untick block ads on this site and see....

I had the same problem this morning , fixed it by turning off norton completely .

OK, so it's definitely a Norton issue then (as I suspected as both browsers were having the problem). Thanks for confirming this Jonski! ;)

Now, who knows Norton well enough to tell me which setting is currently blocking these pictures from appearing? I can't really shut it down fully...

    Thank you in advance!

PS: I have Internet Security 2004

    try this

yet another reason to get rid of norton

Hi Jonski, I tried doing this already but it didn't work... Probably because I hadn't "fully refreshed" the browser...

Indeed you had mentioned disabling Ad Blocking *but*, because these pictures weren't ads, I couldn't understand how this could solve the issue! Angelofdeath explained in detail why Ad Blocking was the problem...

As a result you both deserve a big pat on the back! :D

    Thanks again lads! ;)

ahh, thats better... i can sleep soundly now.... :D

No worries. I've seen this sometimes myself, how legit pics are mistaken for ads by norton. So once u said u had NIS thats the first thing i thought of.

    Alls well that ends well
