Anyone have one of these lying around??

Sometimes chorus leave them behind when they de-install.

I have one of these. The gobs*********e who put up my digital aerial cut down my MMDS one, don't know why because he left it on the house opposite me the following week.

Is it any good if I put it back up?? I have a crap TV3 reception via aerial. I was able to pick up Sky News on it also.

They cost 50 Euro for old type with dipole, used by WiFi folks.

Easily made. Small capacitor between aerial connectors for RF (100pF to 470pF).
6 turn air core 3mm dia coil followed by 6 turns on ferrite bead to feed +12V in.

Note: Receiving Clear unencrypted signals by wireless is fine. Decoding scrambled or encrypted signals without correct payment to the provider is Theft in Ireland.

Connecting to a Cable feed in ANY WAY without correct payment to the provider is Theft in Ireland.

It is yet to tested in Court if MMDS clear signals count as Wireless or Cable.

Technically it is Wireless. But if someone has a good lawer to confince court it is cable, then clear reception would be theft. Especially if any of the equipment belongs to Chorus or NTL.
