    They are a right shower.
Walking down Baggot Street by the Hospital and Tescos is a f**king gaunlet
around 5pm. They are lined up in 3s so there's no escape.
Saw one accost a girl yesterday but she simply asked him
"are you getting paid to do this?" which stopped him in his tracks.

I cancelled a subscription thing a few months back. They piss me off so much. I was given them money each month but when they try to stop me in the street I ignore them and they say Thank you very much in a very sarcastic tone. W@nkers!! I wanna beat them over the head with those buckets of money!!

I tend to use tactics to avoid them, that failed (rarely) just say something completely out of place, "Im not hungry" works wonders.

I knew someone called Aria years ago! Twas a guy too...
What it's a good name for is a Castlevania game :)

    That's it Kirby!
Castlevania: the Shadow of Aria. Or somethin.

But these chuggers, stopped a friend of mine who isn't yet 18 and doesn't have a bank account. Tried to force him to pay up.

I remember once bumping into one of these people and being the nice individual I am agreed to sign up (as it was for charity) - but I didnt give them my bank account number. So she said she would ring me the next day... and sure enough she did. I then told her I'd had a think about it overnight and decided not to subscribe to their moneydrain program whereupon I was left with a beep beep beep sound in the phone...

    Nobs. :D

haha got one proper yesterday i had just read this thread and seen what they got paid so after a fairly shi**y day at work i told one (in the nicest way possible) to go f himself. he turned around and said thats not very nice so i threw the fact he earns over 11 quid at him and he turns back and muttered something about only earning 8 so i walked backed, looked him in the eye and told him to shove it cause thats more than i do, priceless

My guess is no-one. If anyone ever got into debt because of a direct debit on their account which they could cancel anytime they want then it's due to their own poor management of their finances and they should take some responsibility for their own fúck up.

Why are ye all so against them? They're just working a job to pay the rent/bills etc. If you are too unconfident to tell them no then that's you're problem surely? Telling them them fúck off, get bent or what not is more a reflection on your poor character than anything else.

Edit: the last bit wasn't directed at danniemcq but the post was open already.
