Hey, I am about to sign up to NTL Digital for a year, I get

-Free connection to basic tv pack
-free connection to the ntl digital service
-free digital tv subscription for 6 months
    -free bonus setanta sports
    -free multi room viewing subscription
    -UTV and Channel four

This is for €19.95 a month with a minimum subscription for a year. Is this good? Is Sky better? Or what about these other companies? Im also pissed off that I have to take a day off to wait for the installer to arrive! And he cant come till the 6th of december!

I think you;ll find you have to get the basic tv package for 19 euro per month
and then digital is at the very least an extra fiver on top. That's what it was
when I signed up last month.

Yeah thats what they said, but I get free digital for 6 months, its an offer up until christmas. Anyway, back to the topic, is it a good provider or is sky or Chorus better?

From what I've seen Chorus's package is crap compared to NTL, I've not looked into it much but just from talking to my parents & sister back home they seem to pay more then.

I thought that you could only use either chorus or NTl depending on what part of the country your in. It may have changed but that used to be the way it worked.

NTHell and Chorus (of dissaproval) are merging in a buy out so we'll all be moaning about the one company soon anyway.

    Mike.

The really annoying thing is the taking a day off to sit and wait for a "technician"

Where did you see this free six months offer? I checked the site and there
    is no mention of it.

They sent me a letter since my account was stoped by the people I bought the house from.

    It starts

    Dear Householder,
Now that you have setled into your new home we would like to remind you that NTLs service is available and ready for connection. The good news is if you sign up before the 16th December 2005 connection is free and we will give you DIGITAL TV FREE FOR 6 MONTHS

It then goes on to list the things I said above.

All under the umprella of UGC (United Global Corp), on the plus side atleast they'll be able to take on Sky and/or Eircom in Ireland :)

    I was just thinking that.

I had NTL for a while, alod of crap. Kept breaking down, they all told me we have all our technicans working on the problem and hope to to fix it very soon. A fecking day later! Then havin to wait half a day for the technican to come out. I will say NTL is good when it works.

I haven't seen anyone with chorus but from what I've heard...

Is there any offer code on the letter you recieved from NTL, you need to quote in order to receive the offer?
