yes. those plastic strips that go across yr nose work. you wake up with a bit of a high as well from the extra oxygen!

also there is a spray i think its called 'snore eeze' or something like that. you spray it down yr throat. works well too.

If it has something to do with magnets then it is a pile of over priced nonsense.

    How???
I'm sorry but I need some scientific explanation before I'll believe it's anything but a huge pile of bollocks.

    Sleep on your side

As Rhyme said, sleeping on your side is meant to help.
In order to avoid falling onto your back, wear a t-shirt with a front pocket and stick a tennis ball into it. When you fall onto back the discomfort will hopefully turn you back onto side :)

you havent heard someone snore until you heard my dad. I'm two rooms away and i still need earplugs. I must record him sometime and let him listen to it the next day to show how bad it is

any more info on the plastic strips across the nose?

Or wear any old top and use a rubber band to keep the ball in place

    Works through acu-pressure,
Some people have said its brilliant and others have said its a "huge pile of bollocks", depends on your body i suppose.
I sleep on my side and I still snore like a mofo, havent tried that snore eeze spray yet though....supposed to be good

    Placebo effect?

Theres also some kind of rubber ring thing to insert into your nose thats supposed to work wonders... my Dad almost swallowed it.

My dad snores like a wilder beast! Seriously loud. He has tried all of these items. None work, maybe it is due to his perticular type of snore I dont know. But fyi be wary of these instant cures.

I am (or rather used to be) a very heavy snorer, I tried everything, sleeping on my side, i still used to snore.

Tried that snore eeze thing, which was good for a while, but then wore off. had tried everything else, was at my wits end and decided to try one of those sore rings, I cant remember the exact brand i have, but mine came from australia.

you put it on 30 minutes before going asleep and it works by acu pressure. I thought it was a load of rubbish too, but it works. I am my long suffering girlfriend can testify to that.

I would definitely advise people to try them. They really do work (for me anyhow).

What the hell is this "ACU pressure" -is this some sort of super pressure?

Yes, it involves the entire weight of Jupiter on your little finger.

    Acupressure

I find pulling the pillow from under the person's head while they're asleep often works (or if you're curing yourself, just don't use a pillow at all) cos snoring is often because when you're lying on your back with your head propped up it constricts your breathing causing the loud irritating snoring noise

Don't know anything about this acu-pressure lark but there's a minor operation that can be performed to cure snoring.
