Portable Harddrive

Im thinking of getting myself a portable hdd. I had a look on Komplett and found this, which i think looks good

Are they compatible, and is there anything else id need to buy?

Looks fine to me. Just remember to format the drive in NTFS if you want just one partition. FAT32 does not go over 120gb i think, something around that.

I actually had the same idea and have an external 250gb hard drive also. Those Maxtor and other companies who provide "external enclosed hard drives" are just overpriced, and it is much cheaper just getting an enclosure and a hard drive yourself!

FYI: there is a 250gb external HD in Aldi today for 149. excellent value i reckon.

Aye it looks nice, a friend of mine has one. I cant see any difference in that and the one i linked to above apart from the fact that the maxtor one has less memory and is more expensive

And yep i saw the one in Aldi, id just prefer upwards of 300 gigs of storage
