Amos 4°w receivable in Ireland?

Anyone receiving the Amos sat. here in Ireland and if so what size of dish would I need. I know it's way beyond footprint but just checking anyways. 180cm?

Can confirm that Ukranian channels (10.723, 10.762) are receivable on a 2.4M but there are large fluctuations in their signal strength.

I have amos here as Im "just" under the footprint, and I have to admit its not the easiest satellite to lock on to.
Theres a handful of Hungarian pay tv channels from Mediaset (I think) which arent much and no english audio tho Super1 dosent need much LOL, and a bundle of fta Croatian/Slovene and MTV Adriatic which isnt bad. But then theres the Ukranian stuff which is FTA, but on 5East theres more Ukraine tv and I think a smaller dish is doable in Ireland...

No particular channel. It's only one of two sats on my list I haven't worked yet.
And with the second one, Nilesat, I have no hope alltogether.
Thanks to all, and I guess I have to save a few bob for a 3m dish. Or move to Hungary.:D

Whats your reception like on Arabsat? With the 1.8m.

Never got a signal lock on 7W, but 11.843, H glimmers on the analyzer. The vertical TPs are much, much weaker throughout Europe.

I'll probably try swapping the corotor for a dedicated Ku-band feedhorn over xmas, as ku-band takes a bit of a pummelling with C/Ku feeds, and it just might pull it over the threshold.

Whats your reception like on Arabsat? With the 1.8m.

I'm not using the 1.80m channel master dish, simply because I have no LNB, neither for C-nor KU-Band.:(
I pick up Arabsat on 26°e though, 3A that is, on my motorized 1.1m Triax dish with almost no weather reserve. Last night in snowstorm reception went.

Channelmaster secondhand. 2.4M Fortecstar from Zintek, Tallaght. Feeds, receivers from overseas by mail order or Ebay.

Zaphod, are you getting any of the following on Amos>
TvNova , OBN and PrvaTv all showing english programs with subtitles. Oh and Filmbox tho its Czech language. Theyre all scpc.

No, they are all on Amos1. We can only get channels from Amos2.

does anyone want to sell me a channelmaster:D , i sold my 1.8m fortecstar on ebay for 150stg:rolleyes:, with the advice of the guy in zintek, he told me id be better off getting a solid 1 piece dish for what i wanted,
