If you thought the players on your table were loose how about this?

PokerStars Tournament #6256051, No Limit Hold'em
    Buy-In: $10.00/$1.00
    624 players
    Total Prize Pool: $24610.00
    Tournament started - 2005/03/26 - 16:30:00 (ET)
    Tournament finished - 2005/03/26 - 22:35:31 (ET)
    1: moop04 (Piscataway), $6152.51 (25%)
    2: mcjimmc (cedarhurst), $3519.24 (14.30%)
    3: pbdrunks (san diego), $2264.13 (9.20%)
    …….money paid to 63rd

I analysed the number of re-buys up to the break on our table (last hand #74).
I include the original buys as re-buys (1,500 chips).
If a player had 1,500 or less chips he/she could re-buy.
Many players used this rule to re-buy 3,000 at a time.

    Buy-ins up to break - hand #74
    kincsem (1) :)
    666Aces (1)
    GogglsPaisan (8)
    Glennjamin5 (1)
    JOJILJO (2)
    mongeron (10)
    Johnster (65)
    The Seize (39)
SrAPit82 (7) plus 12350 chips transferred from another table
    mikestang1 (2)

    Total buy-ins = 136

This gives the total of 216,350 chips on the table at the break.
    Nine players x 1,500 chips = 13,500 starting.

    All-ins
All-ins by player up to the break (last hand #74)
    kincsem (2 all-ins)
    666Aces (8 all-ins)
    GogglsPaisan (6 all-ins)
    Glennjamin5 (4 all-ins)
    JOJILJO (3 all-ins)
    mongeron (7 all-ins)
    Johnster (56 all-ins)
    The Seize (27 all-ins)
    SrAPit82 (9 all-ins)
    mikestang1 (5 all-ins)

    All-ins before the break = 127
Average number of players all-in on each hand = 1.7
Johnster was all-in on over 75% of hands before the break.

    Chips at Break
    kincsem (29,190) :)
    666Aces (65,105)
    GogglsPaisan (12,300)
    Glennjamin5 (0)
    JOJILJO (52,675)
    mongeron (12,100)
    Johnster (9,150)
    The Seize (3,000)
    SrAPit82 (2,950)
    mikestang1 (29,880)

    Finishing Positions
    10: 666Aces (kitchener), $270.72 (1.10%) :D
    23: kincsem (Dublin), $147.66 (0.60%) :)
    421: GogglsPaisan (Scarborough),
    576: Glennjamin5 (Roslindale),
    47: JOJILJO (Casselberry), $61.52 (0.24%)
    9: mongeron (Helsinki), $393.77 (1.60%)
    67: Johnster (FIGHTIN ILLINI),
    442: TheSeize (Boca Raton),
    451: SrAPit82 (Great Falls),
    130: mikestang11 (Boothwyn),

    Notes
666Aces … all-in eight times before the break but only bought once (his original chips).
Johnster … is 4th ranked tournament player on PokerStars in 2005.

My guess was that Johnster was buying chips, deliberately losing them to put them on the table, then trying to win them back before the break to put him in a strong position for the freeze-out stage.

    Anyone like to comment?

Well, if he is 4th ranked player on Pokerstars (whatever that means) then he may well not care a whole lot about $10. Go and play the $0.01 rebuy on tribeca and go all in every hand. It's definitely therapeutic.

Johnster might have had a considerable 'last longest' bet with a friend of his. He probably won a bundle despite the rebuys.

    Nice. Never thought of that.
