Organising a kids Santa and need to know what's popular with the kids this year?
Last minute substitute and no kids so need ideas please.
Normally there's 1 or 2 pressies that will sell out before Xmas but there doesn't seem to be that interest this year apart from PSP's?
    Any reason?

When the Xbox 360 comes out, there'll be war over it! I think it's out next week, but not totally sure.

What age are the kids? MP3 players are quite popular... but if it's like a 5 year old, maybe not...

barbies/brats for girls, thats for anyage between 4 and 12 really. not sure about boys. i know u can get pink/blue game boys now, smaller than the original.
eye toy is also prety cool, did a promo wit one last week, was knackered after it, kinda promotes more exercise for kids while playing computer games.

    that was £3,000 though :p

but remote control cars are always good for boys around 8/9/10 type age bracket... even if they do get broken after a few hours of use (though you could shell out on one of those nitrous-powered ones. i have one... best thing ever)

and yeah, 2005 is the year of star wars, psp and xbox (though read this: http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/sep/EEFkZkkkyEHasmrPqu.php )

Apparently PSP's are the present that no one can buy this year. Amazon and all the big shops are out here in the UK.

Well, Xbox 360s I guess. Though your chances of getting one for less than a grand before Christmas are very low. And don't bother with bloody PSPs. Get them a Nintendo DS if you must. Better games. Or you could not get them the "thing" and think up something original like.... stilts..... :(

    PSP*
    Xbox 360*

*Im classing myself as a "kid" this year for the purpose of this thread.

I know of a couple of girls getting the Nintendo DS Nintendogs pack for christmas... it's pretty good value at €150 and it comes in pink...

The kid that I look after is looking for a random assortment of Star Wars toys and Harry Potter lego.

The Star Wars Ultimate lightsaber looks pretty cool... I picked it up yesterday. It has all the bits and you can build your own custom lightsaber... great if you've played KOTOR.

The Narnia film has yet to come out... that could still be big... although I don't think too much of the toys.

Actually, the pink DS pack is starting to sell out too! So if the woman in your life wants one for Christmas, get it soon. Other than that... PSP and Xbox360. If you haven't already got a PSP, good luck getting it before Christmas. And the Xbox360... *sigh*
