Free Drink with Ryanair!

I recently flew back from Nottingham into my beloved Dublin when the stewardess announced that whoever buys an alcoholic drink gets the second one absolutely free.

Why do companies still reward people who drink? Why can you not get a second coffee for free or tea for that matter?

I work in a place with plenty of alcohol abuse and what I see isnt always nice. I think it is about time to get real and do something more responsible than advertising free drinks.

screw free 2nd anything- i'd settle for a decent 1st thing..
it's not like there aren't enough drunks on a Ryanair flight as it is..

I don't see anything wrong with offering any promotion like this, be it drink or whatever. It's up to people to act responsibly and not the airlines to play nanny.

It was probaly going out of date or they had too much... too much stock costs money...

Getting people to drink who otherwise wouldn't because they're getting a twofer makes sense to me.

Airlines are there to make money, not promote sensible consumption of tasty beverages... i mean terrible booze.

You need something to take your mind off the confines of those seats...

That said, its not the best thing for you to drink wine/beer inside an aircraft, although breathing inside an aircraft ain't nessesarily good for you. Although Ryanair flights are fairing short so you should be off the plane before your system starts metabolising the drinkees.

Unless you skull eight of them and hit the bottle of vodka you bought at the airport too...

The promotional hit (pardon the pun) is being taken by Bullseye Baggies, the company behind the new alcohol pouches being sold on Ryanair planes. The bags replace the traditional miniature bottles you get on aircraft.
