psp firmware upgradeing

Ye ok guys thanks to uz an some otha peeps i understand this firmware s**t.Today i was talking to my m8 and he was saying u have to have a 2.0 firmware to play (gta l c s) and im sure alot of other games,i know that my psp wil most likely be 1.50 firmware when i get it and that i will have to update it.So can uz tell me how i update the firmware thing and also is it hard to do

go to one of the reputable psp sites and download version 2.0, there will be instructions but im sure you just place the file in the root folder and then the psp will do the rest when you execute the file,gta:lcs has one on the disc which it will load up for you if you dont have 2.0 i think.

Well I'm just as new to the PSP as anyone else. I have bought one of the type that was being sold in Tescos (it will be for the kids from Santa by the way) I have also bought both a couple of new and used games.

One of the new games is GTA SAn Andreas - is there a chance that this will not play properly. And what about other games. Should they not all be standard like the PS2.
Sorry for the stupid questions but I'm not really into these things myself

If the PSP firmware (software) is earlier than 2.0 you will need to update the PSP. Its very simple and quick, everything you need to do it will be with the PSP/Game.

I think you mean GTA: Liberty City Stories....

However, like it's said before, it's pretty easy. If you have a wireless Internet access at home, you can get the PSP to join the wireless network and let it search for the new Firmware.

Otherwise just download the firmware, put it into the root directory and the PSP will do the rest. It's really simple.

Without 2.0, chances are newer games won't run correctly or won't run at all. At least I've heard so.

The update is on the GTA:LCS UMD itself. Simply select it and follow the instructions.
You MUST have it plugged in with the battery at at least 50% before you start the procedure and if you interupt the the procedure while it is in progress, YOU WILL F**K UP YOUR PSP FOREVER and Sony WILL NOT reimburse you.
So be careful.
