    Anyone came across where you can drill under a road instead of digging it up??
    Costings etc

    if its for pipes and all yeah i have seen it...but dont know anything about costings im afraid

    Yop,

    a lot of the well drilling companies have this type of equipment (in our area anyway). I think it's called directional boring. I have seen some small examples powered by a compressor for doing short runs.

    Hi Yop,

    I think the correct term is mole digging or something to do with a mole, it can be expensive but cheaper than reinstating the road, most civil engineering companies have them.

    BordGais use them when running gas to your house
    Dig a hole at ttop of drive and another at where you want the pipe to appear and let the mole do his thing.
    Pretty cool actually.
