    I agree.
Daniel O Donnell should do it...
    Or perhaps Dustin...

D'ya know what, I really think Dustin could win it :D

The funny thing is your right, Dustin is colourful and can't sing...all the makings of a Eurovision Winner!!!:D

Dustin Would totally rock the eurovision. But kenedy is a big no no unless he incorperates loads of colourful dancers and flashy lights into his show cos that seems to win nowadays.

Not as if his career is going anywhere, he might as well do it and cream a few quid out of them.

Doesn't Brian Kennedy (bearly) qualify as a professional singer? I thought Eurovision was for amatures.

Anyway, Brian Kennedy is the sh1ttyest singer ever, that song about the message in the box had the worst lyrics I've ever heard and his dreary, soul-less, emotionally-devoid, worbeling... I wish he was dead!

    That was a cover.

It was for amateurs but somehow Russia used professionals 2 yrs ago (Tattoo) and opened the door!

Maybe but i really really really severly doubt it!!!!

    My intention was

Conway Sisters enter. Conway Sisters don't win. They disappear into the great pop dumpster of life. They are, however, more than welcome to have Kennedy on backing vocals and indeed on their trip to anonymity...

Nope, not this year. Your a star has drifted away from the whole Eurovision round up. It is now a competition based solely on the winner gaining a record deal, plus money and that... no longer anything to do with Eurovision.

RTE are to run another show in order to find a contestant worthy to represent us Irish in the Eurovision. Not sure how it will work. As for Kennedy taking part first I heard of it, though it was only an amatuer thing also.

How long will it take them to realise having one lad on stage with a guitar will get you nowhere, it's all about the performance nowadays.

....Not that I, er, watch the Eurovision or anything......it's just......y'know, common sense and......

    They get paid?
All I know is if we do win we have to host it ourselves. RTE have to pay for that absolute sh!te so their film budget goes for the whole year, would will be stuck with fair city and crap films for another year, oh and one night of crap presented by marty whelan or ronan keating, getting paid with MY money, my TV licence money going on that crap makes me sick.

Still he is brutal so hopefully he will get "nil poi" maybe he will fu ck off in shame for good then, I honestly cant see him winning, it is phone votes these days, so its the trannys and russian lessers types who will win.

    Amen to that!
I seriously think he'd win... it's a public vote, and it seems the most mad stuff wins!
If he'd "sing" something up tempo and funny, it'd take Europe by storm!
Mark my words, Eurovision will be won by a puppet within 10 years...

(some say it already has...... arf!)

Being serious for a second, dustin really couldnt win Eurovision on his own but never fear i have a plan........................................BOSCO. The triumphant return of everybodys favourite childhood character in the form of a duet with Dustin. If that isnt a wining formula i dont know what is.

err, i don't think Brian Kennedy is actually singing in the eurovision, i think he's just writing the song or something, there will be auditions to find the person who will sing..

or at least thats the impression i got

Put the man into a box,
Put the box into a car,
Drive the car over a cliff...
Actually he'll probably do quite well.

Doubtful, nowadays its the crazy costumes, dance routines and colours that win...nobody cares for the song!!!

Why do people vote for the singers and then get a choice of only 2 songs at the end?
That would be like everyone voting for U2 to go to the Eurovision and then having a choice of only 'My Lovely Horse' Or 'The star spangled spanner ' for the song.

Who get to decide who writes the song to represetn MY country in Europe anyway? I cry foul :)

Thats not whats happening this year. Brian Kennedy will sing a load of songs (being sent in at the moment) and we the great Irish public vote for the song.

Just a way for RTE and O2 (probable service providers) to make (more) money from voting tbh...
