Xbox mod part

Many moons ago on some website, I saw a part that was a replacement yellow power cable for the DVD drive, that had an extra cable coming out that could feed a 5V DC peripheral. (Eg A wireless bridge).

I've looked and googled most of the popular xbox sites but couldn't find it.

Does anyone know where I could find one?

    Thanks,
    LK.

that would be cool if you could get it working. The only thing I could suggest would be to try one of these molex y-splitters on the harddrive power connector which gives you 7V,12V and 5V DC lines.

I dont know much about electronics so I could be missing something dangerously obvious here :)

Actually that probably could do the same trick, I doubt the current consumption is going raise any problems.

You thinking of building the bridge inside the case?

Nah, I'll just make up a cable to go out the back.

Wiring a bridge inside wouldn't be too much of a problem really, the solder points are underneath the motherboard, just gotta ensure you maintain the twist on the cat5 up to the solder points. Could be done easily if you can find a small enough bridge.
