Limerick Open Report.

    Well I went to Limerick to report the news, not to make it but having been out in the wilderness for a while now it was good to bag a big one. Unfortunately it meant I didnt know anything about other peoples tables or what was happening so here is my rather more personal report then usual!

    Nice report!

    I wouldnt beat yourself up about the J4 fold. If he is moving in with the WORST 50% of hands your equity is only around 5%. If you include any medium strength hands (JT, small pairs) your equity quickly becomes negative.

    Yeah, essentially thats why I dropped the hand. J4o is no kind of hand to stick 25% of your chips on when those chips could easily earn me another place up the money.

    But I wanted soooo much to make that call because if I'm right (as I was) it becomes call of the century for me at least! However it would have been an ego-based call and the right (but boooooooring) move is to let him away with it. But at least I made some mileage out of the fold. It kinda shook the table up that I spent so long and so agonised over the fold with such a poor hand.

    Yup Careca, that was the single biggest pay day I've had. Playing 350e tournies is not within my bankrolls comfort zone! I had to hand half of it over to Mike as we were 50/50 on it. Still, it was fun to shower the sofa with 50's (140 of them) when I got home!

    That report is almost as good as the win.

    Now get back to work and stop celebrating in Luxurious Monte carlo:D

    Edit: Please note that had my AA stood up in Athlone this would have been Antes Up Second win this month :mad:

    To win a tournament you clearly have to get lucky with KJ and not unlucky with AA :D
