MP3 Problem

    Right,

I am totally stuck. I know mp3s get get viruses because they dont execute themselves but is it possible that some other virus has corrupted the files? I have had a load of mp3s on my computer for ages but just recently loads of them have stopped working. There is a bit of a pattern to it. It seems to be the last 3 or 4 songs from every album, though there are exceptions.

When i view the files themselves in explorer, the tag info seems to be gone for the ones that dont work.

They dont work with ipods, creative zen, iriver etc.

    They dont work with winamp/itunes.

The file size is still large so I feel the info is still there (maybe some way of recovering it?).

Any ideas? Seriously I am at a loss.

Tea and biscuits for the winner!

Yeah I have googled this and cant find anything.

    C:\Documents and Settings\Enda\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javapi\v1.0\jar\javainstaller.jar-5aa0b436-347cf984.zip [KAV_S_R_INFECTED] [Trojan-Downloader.Java.OpenStream.w] SetAttr = 1

That is the line from my log of the trojan. Gonna check that out now......
