Has anyone dealt with these that might have some advise?
    Here's what they're looking for.

(In order to comply with credit and debit card regulations, we need to verify
your identity. In order to process this and subsequent orders please post or
fax clear copies of 2 of the following documents.)

I've contacted the CC company and they said the transaction has gone through...and better not to forward any more ID. Has anyone else had this problem?

Never used Overclockers but it is not unusual for companies to sometimes request actual proof that you are who you claim to be...

They are just being extra paranoid.

The CC transaction may have gone through but in my experience Overclockers will more than likely not send the goods to you if you do not comply with their request.

    It's their perogative i'm afraid.

ordered from them, with 3 or 4 different cards, never asked for ID.

I've ordered 1000's of euro's off them and they never asked for anything, biggest order being about 1500 sterling at the one sitting.

The only problem I ever had with overclockers was that my delivery address was different to the one on my credit card. It was easily rectified though. I presume you asked them to clarify their request?

i ordered a pc of them recently. had the same issue. as said before its not unusal for this to happen. some american stores dont accept irish credit cards because of fears of credit card fraud. they will only accept payments through western union and such.

never heard of overclockers asking for id, but i ordered from a canadian crowd and they asked for it and also another american company asked for it b4 also, its not uncommon outside EU , but from overclockers it is strange.

If they need it they need it.

Make sure they are requesting it mind u and not someone trying to nick your identity :P

the reason he was asked in the first place was cause he was sending the parts to a different address than what was on the credit card

he has jjust faxed them something today and they have replied saying everything is cool

Well, i ordered £500 worth of bits, billed to my Irish address and sent to my mate in UK and they didnt ask for ID. Perhaps it's because i had ordered quite a bit from them in the past. Like gline said, its common for this out-side the EU.

The fact the CC company say its paid makes it a bit strange too.
