Probably around the same time last year the web hosting crowd I'm with gave me some discount vouchers to pass out to friends, I duly posted here and passed them out on a first come first served basis.
I now have more to give away ~4 vouchers.
These vouchers will entitle you a $20 discount on an already great deal for domain reg and hosting.
They are for www.siteground.com - which gives you 5Gb disk space and 100Gb monthly bandwidth along with numerous other scripts and stuff, also their support is excellent. I wont go any further, you can read it on their site.

Bottom line: a domain and a years hosting for just over €33.

Not bad I think you'll agree!

If you want one PM me your name and an email address, also post here to indicate you've done so, so people will know how many SHOULD be left.

Also, if you are an existing siteground customer, you'll probably have these too - so post here too.

    here's a better deal...

dreamhost is doing it's 777 deal again. That comes out to $9.24 for a whole YEAR, which includes 1 year hosting and domain registration. Make sure you select the Crazy Domain Insane 1 year package w/ no setup fee and apply code 777 for the discount.

I have 4 Siteground vouchers on offer also if anyone wants one.

    Just PM your email.

Like Dr Dre, I also recommend their hosting. I've used them for a year now, and never had any issues. Good for the price.

A friend of mine told me about this site and it seems unbelievably cheap if you need high storage and bandwidth.

Its $3.99 (€3.40) per month for 15GB storage and 300GB bandwidth.

It also has all the usual features top quality sites have like 24/7 support.

I've been using a company called ravenwebhosting...

    http://ravenwebhosting.com/

very easy to pay via paypal
$10 one time charge for most packages
    basic package $2.95/month

you can get a domain name for about 10dollars anywhere...

never had a problem, nor any downtime, and lightning speeds

space wise nothing like the above tho, but tis just a basic webpage I host anyway (10megs or so :))

Hmmm, thought this was too good to be true. It would appear that code is no longer valid.
However using the code 'sagoon' will get you $50 off a hosting plan.

^ just checked...it is no longer valid. Sorry about that. I only used it last week. I will keep an eye out for it returning.

I decided to take the plunge and sign up with www.highstoragehosting.com. I realised how handy it would be to have 15GB of space that I could access all over the world. I'll be using at most a gig for a site, and then using the rest for pictures, videos, programs, pretty much anything that I'd like to have wherever I am. I'll be doing a lot of travelling so it seems like the perfect option for all my pictures for only around $40 for a full year.

Very impresses with the services so far. I'd been told good things about it but with an offer this cheap I thought I'd run into problems. Simple to use, very good control panel to manage the space. And I even called the number and used the online chat help to make sure it all worked.

    Fully recommend it.

So so so obvious you own this website.

    Domain name: HIGHSTORAGEHOSTING.COM

    Administrative Contact:
    [edit snip snip snip]

    ...

FYI (everyone), hosts who offer crazy bandwidth for tiny prices are generally not good hosts. To be making a profit they have to be crazily overselling (packing thousands of websites on one server, hoping most of their users will use tiny bandwidth.)

Avoid them. (I've had servers for years, am interested in the hosting industry.)

Actually its not so so obvious really, as I don't actually own the site.

But I do agree that it is obvious in some respects. Its my cousins site and I am in effect plugging it slightly.

But don't get me wrong. I have signed up for a years hosting with them and am happy so far.

And if you wouldnt mind taking down the contact details and email address I'd appreciate it. He wouldn't be too happy if he found out I got them posted up on boards.

A lot of the very cheap hosting sites tend to come and go.

I've used www.lunarpages.com for the last few years and am very happy with them. Their prices are not as cheap as some of those quoted here, but they are still inexpensive and are reliable. Their help and assistance is also excellent, always get a response within about 20 mins.

    Have a look.

Well, it's not cheap at just under €100, but I use brinkster.com. Great service so far, generous storage limits and the domain name registration all included the price.

I use Godaddy, I havn't seen anywhere cheaper but at $8 you can't go wrong. I think I read that godaddy are giving free hosting with every domain registered at the moment too. I,m not usre of the T&C for that offer though.

Siteground basic package now increased to 12,000 MB. Still have 5 vouchers if anyone wants one.

Very handy as with each new person you recommend you get 3 months fee hosting. I now have hosting until December 2007! Only paid $30, started last Feb!

Highly recommend using irish hosts where possible if you do a lot of web work or have clients on the web space. Had numerous problems and headaches with one particular company Webfusion in the UK. They were an absolute nightmare. Costly when things go wrong if you need to ring to get them sorted out.
