    Hi all,

After a failed bios flash my motherboard is dead and I'm thinking of upgrading.
I've currently got a MSI K8N Neo FSR and am using the nforce3 raid controller to do my stripe raid.

My OS and all sits in that array.

So can I get a Nforce 4 board and use the vnraid on that board with my current raid set-up. Considering their both nvraid controllers i would have thought all my data would be fine.

    anyone have experience with this.

Plus on another note has anyone the ability to reprogram bios chips.

should work ok, I didn't have to rebuild my array between nforce 3 and nforce 4 boards, I did however reformat and did a fresh install of windows.

would the raid configuration not be built on the raid card ? so you would have to rebuild the array?

    interesting

If its the same raid controller on the new board and that raid controller has an option to pull the raid config from the disks you should be fine. Not familiar with nvidia raid controllers so cant comment on them.
