There is a house near mine that goes mental with Christmas lights every year!.. They start putting them up after Halloween!... Everything is covered in this tacky lights!!
They even cover everything inside the house with lights!!.... They open it to the public then who give donations for some charity!! ... The house was on TV3 news last year!!!... Mental!

I sure if they gave all the money to charity that they waste on electricity it would be a lot more and the planet would be better off too.

yep, near me too, used to love calling over when we were kids, there's always loads of cars pulled up outside the house. great memories...
i bring my daughter over there now, she loves it as much as i did...still do...

Doesn't expire after 25 downloads (yousendit) and nowhere near as slow as megaupload. I use rapidshare for most uploads.

I love Christmas lights; I wish our family decorated the exterior of our house, but we only did once ... and never again It's nice to look at the other houses, though

i was in edenderry this time last year and took a wrong turn on my way home. i drove down a road and every house was tackier than the last. it was as if they were all trying to one up the neighbour. i don't even put up a christmas tree. humbug.

I think it's great to see people decorating their house's for Christmas as it's a fairly miserable time of the year anyway and it brightens the place up. I think more people should get into the spirit of Christmas, after all it really is a time for kid's. I remember when I was a kid and we would be taken up to Cork to see the Christmas light's being turned on and we would start our Christmas shopping and it was great. If nobody carries on tradition's they will die out and kids of today won't have any memories of any thing good, God knows there's enough horrible stuff going on every other day so I think everyone should make some kind of effort to make things a bit better anyway, I know I will.

Its become a bit of a tradition in my house to all bundle in to a car or two after a meal out on the 23rd of December and to go on a tour fo Cork looking for the most tacky house and let me just say Knocknaheeny is full of them. Its great fun to be honest!
