There is a unique second chance tournament happening on Tuesday. It is free for all those knocked out and the winner gets re-entered to the main tournament at the final table stage guaranteed $100,000. He/She will only have 10 big blinds though. Thoughts anyone?

I've just checked the calander and it didn't read April 1st. Have to say if I made it to the final table I'd be extremely pissed off with this idea.

Disgraceful. Final table bubble gets less money than a player already knocked out the tournament.

On the other hand he's beaten his way all the way through the others and in this field those arent exactly dead money!

I dunno, my gut reaction was "ugh!" but on reflection its kinda like the backdoor rule in GAA here. Its common in international Quake tournies that a double ladder is run with a second chance to get heads up with the winner and possibly snatch the title but to do it you have to win the second chance ladder outright.
Weird but lets see how it works out...
I'll canvas players about it tomorrow.
