He had been asked why he appeared to be 'off his game'.. and then tried to get out through locked doors.

I've read on a few blogs (those fountains of factual and well researched information) that he may be back on the booze. Ha!

    I don't think it's meant to be.

Ahhh hahah.. he's such a spa. Just goes to show that anyone can become president of a decadent and corrupt capitalist enclave, once they're a member of the skull and bones and bohemian grove and have a dad who whose father made millions from dealing with Nazis during WW2, and was head of the CIA.

Oh, if that doesn't work, just get your brother to be in charge of the recount of Florida (and your dad's appointed supreme court to preside over the recount).

Have to point out that apparently Time MOTY only applies to those people who have had a huge impact on the world during that year, not necessarily in a good way.... at least, that was their get our clause with Hitler/Stalin (though any historian knows that the British/American newpapers loved Hitler before the whole 'invasion of Poland' thing....

I saw a lovely title to the video. "Bush has no exit strategy".

TBH, I wonder if someone in China planned him to look like an idiot (not that it takes much doing).

Wow talk about making a story out of nothing. Have you never in your life pulled on a door only to discover it's locked? Wow yea it must take a real idiot to do that. Also, the text the BBC story gave doesn't match what he was saying before he left at all if you watched the video and the 'trying to escape' thing was obviously a joke. It amazes me what people will latch on to to try and make a fool of Bush sometimes.

This guy is supposed to be the most powerful man on the planet!!!

He holds a press conference and answers the first question with some jetlag comment and then is seen pedalling his presedential bike with the chinese olympic cycling team.

Jetlag, closed doors, bring 'em on.

Yeah that Bush is so stupid. I mean he should have been able to tell that the door was locked just by looking at it...with his x-ray vision and all.

    What a stupid nothing story.

Shock. Horror. Bush tries to go through door but it's locked. It's like 9/11 all over again.

Thank you. I'm glad some other people have a bit of objectivity on these things... almost everybody has done this at some point...what's the big deal? If you're gonna complain about something that highlights Bush's stupidity - maybe focus on the actual politics? Discussions like this are just dragging politics down to the level of 'OK' magazine.

It's hardly his fault that the door was locked. Anyone could have made the smae mistake. Now if he locked himself out of the White House it would have been a lot funnier.

But he didnt try and pull it and walk through like most people would... he tried to walk through it and then pull it....

Some may say this could be a reflection of his character... not me though!

    I agree with you

Actually the BBC part is cut short. He was given a dodgy question, he answered jet lag and then went off on some spiel. Then when asked for another question he said no and left for the locked doors.

What is also not apprant is those were not the doors he entered in from and an advisor was watching him walk by the real door and then came out and waved to him to show him where he should of went.

As for a joke, it was more like a freudian slip.

It would of been even funnier if the doors were open and you watched his advisors/SS run after him (or better yet a broom closet ;) )
