Killarney Classic

    We are running our first tournament of note this Friday with an estimated prize pool of 5,000 euro (if the tourney fills,as I expect it will, estimated ptize pool of 7,000). In line with the sticky,here are the details:

    1.-event run by Cue Club Card Rooms
    2.-Being ran as a commertial event.
    3.-Friday November 25th
    Venue - Cue Club, High St, Killarney.
    4.-Reg from 7-15pm, cards dealt at 8-00pm sharp.
    5.-no prerequisites.
    6.-Maximum numbers---70 (when its full,ITS FULL.
    7.-NL Hold'em.
    8.-50 euro entry, one re-buy(50 euro) and 1 top-up(50 euro).
    9.-reg cost-- 10 euro
    10.- 100% of entry fees,rebuys and top-ups go to prize fund.
    11.- not guaranteed but conservative estimate of 5,000 euro prize fund.
    12.- 1 rebuy,1 top-up,freeze-out after level 5(150-300)(5 x 20min blinds).
    13.- starting chip---3,750.
    14.- re-buy.....4,000 chips.
    top-up.....5,000 chips.
    15.- first 5 blind levels-- 20mins,all further blind levels---25mins.
    16.- blind levels as follows: 25/50,50/100,75/150,100/200,150/300. 15min break, 200/400,300/600,400/800,600/1200,800/1,600,1,000/2,000,
    1,500/3,000,2,000/4,000,3,000/6,000,4,000/8,000,6,000/12,000,
    8,000/12,000,10,000/20,000 until finish.
    17.- if full(70 players),all nine on final table get paid.
    18.- dealers for all tables,good level of skill.
    19.- there will be a documented list of rules.
    20.- tournament director will be connie o sullivan.
    21.-TD's decision will be final on all matters.

    Hi Connie,

    Is it possible to pre-register ? I might travel down from West Limerick, but it's a long journey to make if the tourney's full when I get there.

    Also where exactly is the card room (please note, I don't know Killarney very well)

    can u tell me why the rebuy's are limited to one only?

    also can u explain why the rebuy's and top up chips are more than the starting chips?

    id travel from west limerick aswell, id need to pre-reg if possible

    thanks for reply and sorry for not answering earlier.currently 54 pre sold tickets. give me a ring at the card room on 064-30057 and we will take ur entry from you to guarantee your seat.
    the card room is off high st, opposite paddy power bookmakers,50 yards up hilliards lane signposted the cue club.

    the reason the rebuys are limited is because it makes for a better game.most players would agree that the less rebuys the more serious the game but i suppose thats debateable. we will be limiting players to 1 rebuy and a top-up
    , or two rebuys and no top-up.
    as for the chips,3,750 starting. 4,000 for rebuy,(thats simply easier for handling for doing rebuys i.e. 4x1,000 chips,top-up---5,000 chips at break-time is extra because blinds are now higher after break(200/400) so player sees value in topping up.

    latest update---65 tickets sold on thurs nite, looks like a definate sell-out. full report on boards after tournament.

    ok folks, the event is now officially sold out. if you dont have a ticket there is no point in travelling as we are standing firm over seven tables of ten and no extras.i hope to give you a full rundown(and breakdown) of the tournament as soon as possible.cheers
