Using my psychic abilities, I have guessed that what your girlfriend wants is some
    ornamental spoons.

    Wow!!

    (simply put: need more info)

Delve into your dads past and buy something meaningful for him, like a Dan Dare book. Girls cant get enough of scarfs... make it so.

Just get your dad something with lots of buttons on it...

    EDIT:

    No, not a coat :p

Buy the dad a model plane or boat and a tie, the tie has to be as ugly as possible.
As for the girlfriend get her a beauty treatment thing but for gods sake remember to say "you deserve this" NOT "you need this"

Well if it was me, i'd love a bf to totally surprise me with a voucher for car racing or something not too girly or predictable.

Genius! My annual winter cross-dressing will be so much better now.

Since your DA has no interests, buy him one of the global gifts offered by the likes of Trocaire, Oxfam or Concern.

Ditto for your girlfriend with "loads" now that I think of it.

I hate Christmas by the way. Too much me me me ......
