Lesson to be learned there. Always use the provided uninstaller.

Try reinstalling and uninstalling it properly. Failing that, you'll have to traverse through a lot of files and system settings to get rid of it all.

Try reinstalling and uninstalling it properly..

Since the O.P. stated that they have tried this route:

O.P.: What OS are you using?
If 98/XP: Start -> Run -> MSCONFIG -> check for limewire entries in startup items and services and untick & check your Startup items in the Start Menu -> aim: prevent Limewire from starting.
Then try uninstalling again using or searching for the limewire folders/files (Usually c:\program files\Limewire and c:\shared and c:\incomplete by default) & get a registry cleaner to remove any trace of the application for thoroughness.

i take it that the uninstall application has being deleted and there is no reference to limewire in
Control Panel :> Add or Remove Programs.
