Favourite FTA channels

I'm trying to make a folder of decent FTA channels to watch with my SkyStar 2 card. So far I have the BBC's, ITV's, B4U Music, Channel U, Chart Show TV, The Vault, Extreme Sports, SportsNation, Men & Motors, Reality TV. Any more hidden gems?

I have to say, I enjoy tuning in to Max TV every now and again. I know it is a shopping channel, but some of the gadgets they have on are quite good.

There used to be a european Nickelodeon FTA, labelled MTV Interactive. It is not available on a digibox so i dont know if it is still going. I used to have it on a lidl box before i got a freesat card.
It was transmitted in english and i think, german.

Motors TV is now encrypted, News mix I think

Nickelodeon is still FTA in German, as is MTV.

Thats it. I deleted my folder and trying to get the channels back. Must have put that in by mistake, cheers.

I found True Movies too. I never once watched it on Sky Digital but it has some decent films on.

Because my favourite FTA channel would be West3 on Astra1.

PCNE - the chinese station has the odd english language thing on and news from china too.

Hotbird many foreign stations ( Turkey Libya etc. ) have 15 minutes of News in English, from a totally different perspective to ours - anyone got a link to the times ? Does ANN do any english language slots ?

Sailing channel used to be good but I think has gone to SKY and there used to be a channel that cycled the weather french forecast - isobars look the same in any langague.


DWTV used to do nice half hour programs, missed the one about the Amur river between Russia and China

On Astra2, which stations are FTA apart from BBC 1-4 and ITV 1-4, which are worthwhile?

When you do a satelite scan you end up with an endless number of junkstations trying to sell you rubish or religion.

Are there any film stations? If yes what are the transponders, etc., so I can search for them.

As byte said earlier. TCM used to be FTA on Astra 2, but no longer.

Raj TV is my new favourite (Astra 2). It's on 283 on the Sky epg. Shows classic cricket matches all night.
