Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt)

    Anyone been to Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt that can offer recommendations on what to do or see? I'm going on Thursday Nov 24th. Looking forward to some diving. I know this place is famous for that... but is there anything else to do? Is it difficult to get to Cairo? Flights expensive? Buses? Anything else to be aware of?

    I was there briefly about 4 years ago, we ended up going on a 7 day trip down the nile and then chilled out afterwards in Dahab. I can't remember how we got from Sharm to Cairo...think it might have been by bus, but if you check out the thorntree website (lonely planet) someone should give some useful current advice and recommendations on the forum.
