I recently picked up the Boss GT-8 effects board, it's quite user friendly in terms of switching patches in songs compared to the ME-50. Anyone have other opinions on it? Recommend any personal settings? Rate any particular patches?
Oh and has anyone tinkered with the pitch bend as mine weakens at the top end from time to time?

P.s. I don't need advice on other pedals or what i "should" have bought, Cheers.

on my brief experience with it i think that if you really sit with it you can get some great sounds but i not too sure i would buy it. Its prob good with work but i just dunno. You can really tell its not a real amp or anythin. That said its prob great given time

I bought the GT8 a few weeks ago, and i must say i was a bit disappointed. It was my first pedal, as i had always gone through amp distortion, and it was completely overwhelming, and I didnt find the manual too useful. Im still looking for a decent distorion, and i have no idea what im doing wrong, it just seems to have no balls whatsoever. Great for clean tone stuff though. For a player who knows little about the electronics of your playing, avoid!

People told me that about the ME-50, too, but I love my ME-50.

you HAVE to use the 4 lead method with those pedals. Its the only way. The Dists on those GT8s will never stand up to genuine amp dist
