    Hey,
I dont know if this is the right place to post this but anyway... Im in 6th Year in secondary school and im sitting my leaving certificate in June. I will be 18 in March and basically I would love to go abroad in the Summer. I would really appreciate it if anybody can suggest how I could go about working abroad in the Summer. I am aware this is often a trend with college students and most likely I will be going to college next year but I would really like to do something this year. Whether its working in a farm or anything else I dont mind!:D . - Any Suggestions??

Buy a ticket to Australia, get a visa, when you get there look for a job, theres loads of farm jobs! fruit picking etc you can do.

    www.australianholidays.ie -for tickets
    www.usit.ie - visa's

    Or

Theres loads of companies that organise young people to go abroad say to South America or somewhere in Asia to do volunteer conservation work, but you still have to pay for your tickets etc.

Hey thanks very much for your reply I will consider that. The only thing is I would prefer to stay in Europe and also if I could somehow get work before I go went over there it would be excellent. Any suggestions?

    Hey,

You dont really have any chance of getting a job before you go unless your willing to travel for an interview for which you might or might not be successful.

You could keep an eye out on irish job websites, because foriegn employers to advertise on them and hold interviews here in ireland, so that would save you having to travel just for a job interview.

    Heres some sites:

    http://www.fas.ie/jbframe.htm

Most Job websites have a Work Abroad section.

    Happy hunting!
