    heya...
before this, the SU used to organise just a Co-Op ball for all students going on co-op at the end of january, before they left. Years ago, it was really popular, 500-600 students, but the last few years it has only attracted 200-300. So, as part of the re-vamped SU ents, they have decided to change a few things about it. Firstly, it's been moved to before Christmas (Thursday, Week 12, South Court Hotel - 15th Dec.) and so it's been renamed the Co-Op and Christmas Ball so that it's not solely for Co-op students. Tickets are €30 -that includes a bus from UL to the hotel (which is across Limerick, if you don't know it), your dinner, DJ/Band, and bus home afterwards, which makes it pretty good value. They will be on sale from Monday, week 10 (i'm not 100% sure about this, i'm almost certain though). It is a formal ball, which means dress and tux/suit or something along those lines. But it will be a good laugh....i've gone to a fair few balls now and they're always a laugh...it's kinda like your debs if you had one, but not as couply-ish...ie you go with a group of mates, not necessarily a partner. its a good laugh, round up a group and you'll have a ball (Excuse the pun) :D
