    Have a Dell Inspiron 9300.

How do I set the region to 0?

Have been googling for it but not sure if I need a software to play the dvd or something for the dvd rom its self.

    Any help would be great

The easiest thing is to just use software that completely ignores region codes. One of the most popular players is VLC

You'd need to find out which DVD it has in device manager - make / model
eg: it could be a DVD
    or DVD/CDRW
    or DVD RW

nevermind which supplier was the cheapest or had stock in when they were assembling your laptop.
