    Hi folks,
I am currently on the market for a new PC but am a bit confused with all that is out there. I have looked at HP, FUJITSU, DELL ETC and it is hard to decide. My main use would be transferring camcorder footage to the PC and burning it to a DVD, amongst the normal things-internet etc. I have a budget of €1500 and dont need a printer or scanner. I would also like to have a TV TUNER CARD to enable recording, also a three year warrenty would be reassuring. Any tips suggestions will be most welcome, I'm in the Cork area.
    Regards,
    Skoda.

I have just got a new dell 9100. I made it up on the internet and it came up to over 1950 euro. I then called dell and got a quote from a sales rep. for a similer price.

I told him I could but the parts online and make it myself for 1500 euros. I left him my name and number and told him to call me back if he can get a better price. My phone rang after 5 mins, it was 'Dave' the rep. He matched my price of 1500 euro. Actually I think it was E1524 exactly

    I got:

Nvidia 7800 graphics card (very top end)
1024 ram (I will add on another 1024)
200GB hard drive (loads, for me)
    cd R/W
dvd R/W (prob will never use)
Sound blast Auditgy 2zs (good sound)
19'' high definition flat panel monitor

    Thats the bulk of it.

If you want to get a good quote call at the end of the month, tell them what you want, and when they give you a price tell them its too much. It worked for me.

The only problem I have had is that I cant get my bloddy Ipod working, but that a different issue, thus my post 'Ipod installation problems'

    Goodluck!

    Raz
